Deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Gladys Virginia Knapp. What a remarkable LADY.who we both had the honor of knowing for many years. Mary Templeton knew Gladys and her late husband through their West Virginia University connection of work, teaching, education and service as well as from her family and relatives. In 102 years , Galdys travelled widely, shared love of education and her State and passed along her passions to others she met. Even with passage of time, Gladys remained active and outgoing, interactive and involved and what a full life she experienced in those 102 years. Her impact will long be reflected upon at WVU and throughout Morgantown, Wheeling and the entire State of West Virginia. Deepest sympathy and prayers to her family and friends. Blessings.

I always enjoyed visiting with Mrs. Gladys Knapp when she attended the Vandalian Luncheon. She was 'one of the special ladies of Vandalia' in my book. She was always smiling and always had a kind word. I missed her at the luncheon this year. I always knew that Mary Jane or Nan would be bringing her. She was just a super great lady and I will miss seeing her. God Bless her.
