As David's sister, I was blessed as soon as I heard our mom was having David. I was so excited to finally have a sibling at 7 years old. David was my personal baby doll from the minute he came home. He was never short of loving arms wanting to hold him.
He was the cutest little boy growing up-he had a smile that could light up a room and I always remember seeing that little naughty look in his eyes when he was up to something.
David was the typical little brother, tattling on me as a teenager, asking for advice as he got older, and begging me to take him and his friends places. We spent a lot of time together and for a lot of years I helped take care of him while our mom was at work or in school. It's funny that I didn't mind doing that--even as a teenager, I adored him and wanted to take care of him.
Somehow, as we really grew up, he became the mature one. I've called him for advice more times than I can count. He always had the best way of putting what seemed like a huge problem in perspective. He's been my kids biggest fan since they were born. Seeing him have his kids, being a husband, uncle, friend, son, brother, and so much more has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I will forever miss my baby brother.
I hope you see us David, we are helping each other and working together to go on. Believe me, it isn't easy, I never ever imagined life without you here. I've always been so proud of you, but hearing from so many people about all the acts of kindness you did for so many people, makes me even more proud (if that's possible.) I promised you that I'd be here to help not just now, but always--I'm keeping that promise. Love you always, Your Big Sis

Rob and I were devastated to hear of David’s passing. We had so many great times with him and Mandy that we will never forget. Wish we could be there for the services, but will be there in spirit. Love you, Mandy. Our hearts are with you, the boys, and David’s whole family.

David was a great friend to our family. He and my husband, Tom, spent many hours talking high school basketball, and watching our kids play. He and his wife became some of our closest friends, and we truly cherish the memories we have with him. He will be greatly missed.

Q: How did you meet David?
A: Bill and I met David through my sister, Beth Coleman. Her kids go to school and play basketball with Mandy and Dave's sons. We had the pleasure of spending time with them on a few occasions at birthday celebrations and basketball games. Dave was very kind, friendly and laid back. His love for Mandy was evident as hers was for him. They were a lot of fun to be around and I'm thankful we got to spend with them. My heart aches for Mandy and the boys and my prayers go out to the entire family.
Love, Melissa & Bill Cramer
