Professionally, Charles worked nearly 30 years as a chemical engineer in Richmond, VA, before later returning to Morgantown to work at Mylan Pharmaceuticals (Viatris Global).

Charles will be remembered for his quick wit, humor, and positive outlook. He seized every opportunity to make someone laugh, despite his circumstances. He was a gentle giant who loved teaching children and sharing his Christian faith in the Nazarene Church.

Dale and Martha Childs; brother, Philip Childs (Debbie); brother-in-law, Rick Pinchot; mother-in-law, Patricia Sue Molisee; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nephews and niece; and his three fur babies, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Alicia Childs Pinchot.
His family wishes to express their gratitude to WVU Medicine Hospice for their continual support and exceptional care over the last nine months.
