Rest in peace Todd, and may God give strength and comfort to your family, coworkers, and friends. I have known you for a long time, and in more recent times, I have some great memories from hanging out with you and some of our friends at Crockett's. My son thought of you as a friend too and was proud to be riding along with Craig in your deservedly honored procession. You were a dedicated officer - a hero, not just on that fateful day, but everyday to someone. To my fellow classmate from the MHS Class of 1988, thanks for being my friend.

Dear Todd, you don't know me, but I wanted to let you know that we watched an amazing line of police cars and EMT vehicles flash by us down the highway in honor of you. Flags were at half mast and people were standing along overpasses, parked along the highway and on hills to send their love, thanks and goodbyes to you. I'm sure you saw them and felt them You will be sorely missed. You were obviously quite amazing and loving while you were here. Thank you, sweet man for sharing yourself with so many. It was an honor to have you whiz by us with flashing lights. We learned a bit about you at a rest stop/visitors center along the highway. I watched a sunset last friday night after writing your name in the sand on Myrtle beach in South Carolina. You will be remembered by so many. Peace be with you and God bless and comfort your loving family. sincerely,Kim

To the family of Sgt. May, I wish to offer you my heart felt and deepest sympathy in this time of great loss. Even though I didn't know your son very well I did however have the pleasure and honor of working with him on fire calls. He always carried himself in a professional manner. As a former Law Enforcement Officer, I can tell you that I weep as you weep. I feel a void in my heart like you do. Once a person takes the oath to serve and protect they become part of a brotherhood that few will ever know. Some say that time will help heal the pain of a lost one. I don't have any magic words that will heal your pain. I can only offer you the knowledge that as long as I live on this Earth, I will never forget your son, your brother.
